THE WEIGHT OF LIES

Inspired by The Avett Brothers song, “The Weight of Lies”, this logotype represents the fictitious India Pale Ale brewed by the Avett Brothers themselves. I wanted to create something that was expressive of the lyrics, so making it feel like one big, heavy shape was where I started, and then I allowed the flourishes to fill in the gaps of the typography solidifying its density.
